ESMA is an institution of cultural creation and diffusion.

Conscious of the historical and constant links between these two forms of symbolic representation, Arts and Mathematics, ESMA intends to contribute to lowering the barriers which can separate audiences whoever they may be from the scientific community, notably that of computer scientists and mathematicians.

To reach these objectives, ESMA encourages setting up exhibitions along with exposés, the creation and the realization of artistic projects and works (plastic, architectural, musical, literary) supported by the mathematics and science in general.

ESMA facilitates the exchange of information and ideas by means of its website, its publications, seminars and local or European conferences.
